The NRA “Refuse to Be a Victim” Program is a non-firearm seminar that teaches participants personal safety techniques to prevent them from becoming victims of crimes. Topics include the following:

  • The mindset of criminals and how you can mentally prepare yourself to deal with them
  • Home safety (including choosing locks, dealing with strangers at the door, and setting up a “safe room”)
  • Safety in public places
  • Staying safe while traveling
  • Automobile security (including how to avoid carjacking and vehicle theft, and dealing with road rage)
  • Technological security (including how to avoid scams and identity theft, and staying safe online)
  • Information on different types of self-defense training and personal protection devices and how to select quality training

This is a great course for concealed carry permit holders and anyone interested in increasing their personal safety.

Cost is $35. All materials are included, and participants will receive a certificate of completion and student handbook. The course will run from 1-5 pm.
