The NRA Basic of Personal Protection Inside the Home (PPITH) Instructor course is approximately 10 hours and will prepare NRA Certified Pistol Instructors to schedule & teach the NRA Personal Protection in the Home Shooting Course.

This course does NOT include Basic Instructor Training (BIT). Certified Instructors who have not had BIT in the past two years, will need to contact me to arrange for BIT. Candidates must submit a pre-course questionnaire and successfully complete the pre-course assessment at the start of the training day. The course fee is $300 and includes all necessary training materials. Students must bring a defensive caliber handgun (pistol or revolver), with at least 3 magazines or speed loaders, eye & ear protection, cleaning kit, and 100 rounds of factory, practice ammunition.  A $75 deposit is due by August 15 to hold your seat in the class. Students are responsible for NRA certification fees ($30 / 50) paid to the NRA for certification and processing as a PPITH instructor.
