Defensive Pistol in the Home will answer these questions, and more. 

 

Lecture topics will include:

-Defensive accuracy

-Flash sight picture

-Color codes of awareness

-Why you shouldn’t go searching for the home invader

-How to set up a safe room

-Psychological, physiological and physical reactions to a violent encounter

-What to do after shots are fired

 

Live-fire portion will include:

-Shooting around cover

-Different shooting positions

-Point shooting

-Multiple assailants

-After-action assessment

 

This is not a beginner course, and students should come into the class with a firm grasp of safe gun-handling. Proof of this can include the following: NRA Basic Pistol or FIRST Steps Pistol certificate, Military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or participation in a shooting competition.
