There is something for everyone at the Ames Izaak Walton League. This website will give you an overview of what the Ames Ikes are all about. We encourage you to bookmark this site and check back often to see what events are taking place or read the Newsletter. We hope you and your family will enjoy the variety of activities that the Ikes have to offer.
Since 1949, we've been an active part of our community hosting outdoor events, offering clinics and educational opportunities regarding conservation, fishing, Hunters Education, Bow Hunter Education classes, and also providing sponsorship and meeting facilities for local Boy Scout Troop 230. The local chapter takes part in conservation projects originating at the local, state and national levels, as well as advocacy in conservation matters.
The Izaak Walton League and its 330 local chapters provide aid and support for the conservation of America's soil, air, woods, water and wildlife through common-sense solutions to protect our country's natural heritage and improving outdoor recreation opportunities for all Americans.
