Jax's Shootout.  Shotgun, Rifle, Handgun, Muzzleloader and Bow manufacturers will be on hand to let you try before you buy...this event is open to the public. 9am-3pm. The local Boy Scouts will be serving hot dogs and refreshments.

Women's Shooting Night was on August 14th, 2008.  Shooting and Dinner for the ladies...All levels of experience welcome.

Read about the RESCHEDULED Annual Kid's Fishing Derby to be held Thursday, July 10th 2008 at Hickory Grove from 5:30pm to 8:00 pm.

Check out what we did the night before Arbor Day. We packaged 853 seedlings to be delivered on Arbor Day to all the Third and Fourth Graders of Ames, Ames Christian, Gilbert, and United Comunity School Districts.  Click Here to see the pictures and read about the 'Silky Dogwood'.
