Ames Izaak Walton League

Our Indoor Range:

A five-lane pistol & small bore rifle range is housed in the lower level of the Ames Izaak Walton League Clubhouse. 

The range is open on Thursday evenings (7:00pm – 9:00pm) and Sunday afternoons (3:00pm – 5:00pm) from December through March.  Additionally, the range hosts pistol matches on the first and second Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. of each month.  We rotate NRA bullseye, air pistol, and revolver matches. 

The cost to members is $2 and non-members $4.  Ammunition is limited to .22 cal rimfire, .380 auto, 9mm, .38 spl., .40 S&W, .45 ACP, and similar rounds (No Magnums).  The bullets must be cast lead or plated bullets – NO JACKETED AMMUNITION – and they must have less than 320 ft-lbs of energy.  A chronograph is available for questionable ammunition.
