Arbor Day Activities at Ames Ikes:

Below are pictures of our members helping to bag seedlings assembly line style in preparation for distribution to 853 Ames, Ames Christian, Gilbert, and United Community  Schools third and fourth graders.  We worked hard the night before with the help of a dozen members to insure delivery.  Included with the seedling is information about this years seedling, Silky Dogwood.

Thanks to Board Member Bill Cook for organizing this event (an every of the past 20 years+).  Also a Big thanks goes out to Tom Gard, General Manager of the West Hy-Vee.  Hy-Vee provided the plastic bags, paper towels and twist ties that the seedlings were delivered in. And also to all of our members who have contributed to their efforts of packaging and delivering, helping to make this a great success.
